WTF Is This Blog???

Honestly, I don’t know what this blog is and what it will become. At first, I hoped it would be a bias free type of thing, yet I cannot help but push my opinions into these articles. To my limited knowledge, the music Skidmore students create transcends most other college music scenes. Therefore, students deserve a place where they can find all of the most recent news about Skidmore’s evolving and flourishing musicians. Not only should this blog list information, but it ought to provide commentary that analyzes our music in context with our generational preoccupations. Surprisingly, even after one semester, I have witnessed so many changes in sounds as bands form, progress, and take new approaches to music. Now more than ever, it’s time to step away from the deteriorating music industry and embrace our own exciting music scene.
